Although in reality she sometimes drowses, her gaze in the memory world is extremely awakening. This book is a collection of 114 small prints that she carved and printed every day, as if sketching, in parallel with her life with her family and animals. The opening picture features seven works framed in antique frames, which are essential for discussing Yanagimoto's works. In addition, photographer Harumi Shimizu's snapshots of the artist's atelier and daily scenes are included, as well as an appendix with a piece of her own prose, and a detailed list of works at the end of the book. Fumi Yanagimoto, who has quietly published collections of her works in small numbers, has until now been a printmaker known only to those in the know, but her works always sell out at her solo exhibitions. Since around last year, her prints has been spreading around the world, mainly on Instagram, and the number of followers has reached 60,000 both domestically and internationally. In response to this trend, in this collection of prints, the names of her works are written in English as well as Japanese.
